Didier Drogba, a Chelsea star, believes France has the experience and firepower to defeat Argentina in the 2022 World Cup final on Sunday in Qatar.
In the semi-finals, France defeated Morocco 2-0, while Argentina defeated Croatia 3-0.
When they face Argentina this weekend, the defending champions will aim to become the first side in 60 years to retain the FIFA World Cup crown.
In an interview with BBC Sport, Drogba indicated that France has a competitive team with the ability to win the game.
“France has the advantage of having been in the final and winning it four years ago,” Drogba said to BBC Sport.
“You know how to handle the pressure, you have been there, but they have new players and it will be new for them.
“It might be the first time some of them have played against Lionel Messi as well. The pressure will be there.
“This France team is very, very competitive, especially with Didier Deschamps as their manager. They want to win it back to back.”
