Former Manchester United player, Jesse Lingard has joined the newly promoted side, Nottingham Forest as a free agent.

The club confirmed the signing of the English player on its official website on Thursday, July 21st, 2022. According to reports, the 29-year-old signed a one-year deal which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2023. He is reportedly going to earn £200,000 a week.

Lingard will bring a lot of experience to his new team following after registering 230 appearances for the Red Devils and finding the back of the net 35 times. He also played for West Ham United on loan for the second half of the 2020/21 Premier League campaign, netting 9 goals in 16 appearances whilst also contributing 5 assists.

The supporters of Nottingham Forest will hope Lingard brings this experience of his to the pitch when the new season starts on Friday, August 5th, 2022.
