Manchester United’s forward player, Cristiano Ronaldo seems to have decided what direction his future will be heading as football fans look forward to the new season.
Ronaldo announced to the board of Manchester United that he wants to leave the club before the end of the transfer window. According to reports from the media, the Portuguese decision is been triggered by the Res Devils participation in the UEFA Europa League. Ronaldo who is nicknamed Mr Champions League has never played in the Europa League in is football career.
The 37-year-old commented on his official Instagram account on Friday, July 29th, 2022, he simply wrote “Sunday the King Plays”. There have been rumours that the player is referring to Manchester United’s final preseason game against Rayo Vallecano but he has been left out of the game against Atletico Madrid.
Ronaldo has been linked with a handful of top clubs ( Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid) in Europe that will be playing in the UEFA Champions League next season. However, all the clubs have confirmed that Ronaldo is not in their plans going into the new season.
