Reims defeated AS Monaco 1-0 away in Ligue 1 on Sunday.
Reims has won three games in a row and four of their last five.
Balogun scored the game’s lone goal in the 51st minute, his 16th in the French top flight.
Balogun, who is 21 years and 252 days old, became the youngest player in Ligue 1 to score 16 goals in his first season since Mohammed Salem with Sedan-Torcy in 1960/61.
Balogun returned to scoring form after failing to score in Reims’ previous three games.
Reims is currently in eighth place with 43 points and is four points behind second-placed Lille.
